Even though our country is more divided today since the Civil War, American lawmakers must find a way to work together across the aisle putting political differences aside for the common good. Northeast Florida Congressman John Rutherford (FL-4) has made this a top priority. Rutherford was named in the top 10 percent of the 2019 congressional Bipartisan Index by Georgetown University which measures how well members of Congress work across party lines.
Rutherford’s forty years in law enforcement including twelve years as the Sheriff of Jacksonville and serving as Chair on the state legislative committee on crimes, accorded him first hand experience of the bill process and the importance of bipartisan relationships.
In 2009, Rutherford noted his department’s high expenditure in observing mentally ill inmates to prevent suicide so he created a bill to overhaul the state’s mental health system to keep nonviolent offenders out of jails. Even though all 67 Florida sheriffs approved, the bill failed in the state legislature because many members didn’t know him. Perplexed, he spent a year working relationships with state legislators and the bill passed under Governor Jeb Bush.
“I knew then that getting bills passed wasn’t about merit but about relationships,” Rutherford said.
In his third term as Congressman, Rutherford has made an effort to work with Democrats by obtaining a member from the other side to be a primary co-sponsor of every bill he files. These relationships have helped make his bipartisan bills more successful, signing at least three of his bills into law his first term. Unfortunately, today, these bipartisan relationships are harder to come by as the progressive gang has taken over the House directing their socialist agenda to the floor hampering the passage of any significant bills.
“Bills aren’t passing now because AOC and her gang are running the House. Facts don’t matter…it’s all politics,” he said.
With the Progressives growing anti-police rhetoric and widespread efforts to defund police departments, officers are increasingly at risk of attacks so Rutherford’s “The Protect and Serve Act,” has been reintroduced. This bipartisan bill to create federal penalties for ambushing law enforcement, was co-sponsored in 2020 by fellow law enforcement officer and Democrat Representative Val Demings (FL-10), yet due to the “anti-police” rhetoric from the Left, Demings won’t touch the bill now. Many other members are also afraid to show support for law enforcement, except when they need them.
“They want to erase local law enforcement. Supporting our police has become unpopular for Democrats. Online radicals and political pundits, who have never worn the badge or been on a ride along, are dictating what policies Democrats support.”
The US Congress remains bitterly partisan, just like our country, but if Congress would collate bipartisan cooperation for introducing and co-sponsoring legislation as Rutherford has, compromised legislation on behalf of both parties would be a positive step for our Nation’s future.

As the election audits in AZ, MI and New Hampshire continue to insinuate voter ‘irregularities,’ GOP State Rep and candidate for Georgia Governor Vernon Jones said he would call for an audit of the 2020 election in GA even though RINOs Governor Kemp and GOP secretary of state Brian Raffensperger have refused.
Yesterday, the House of Representatives voted to establish a commission to probe the January 6 Capitol riot which passed 252 to 175 with 35 Republicans joining Democrats and voting in favor. The bill will establish a 10-person commission with 5 Republicans and 5 Democrats from the House and Senate who will have subpoena power and produce a report on their findings.
Leading the pack of RINOs was ousted Liz Cheney who continues to bash President Trump and blame him for, well, everything and continues the Left’s narrative of a “Jan. 6th Insurrection.” The problem is RINOs, It wasn’t an insurrection but a pre-planned false flag created by the Deep State, led by Nancy Pelosi and the DC Mayor, facilitated by the Capitol Police and promoted by the Media. We now have more than enough video footage and eyewitness accounts that the police allowed the “faux Trump Supporters” to break windows and come inside. The real investigation should be uncovering those hideous players and imprisoning them for their part in the death of Ashley Babbit.
Unfortunately, this faux commission will waste taxpayer’s dollars once again to magnify a Leftist lie. How about an investigation into all the violence, looting, burning & killings during the summer of 2020 so that it never happens again to American Citizens and American Cities? Because BLM/Antifa are protected…they are the deep state’s army and can’t be touched…but they will soon.
So we need to focus on getting these RINOs out of office….no more sleazy Republicans on the local, state, and federal levels.
And we must not give up!

Florida voting law signed by DeSantis stops Mark Zuckerberg, others from bankrolling election administration
For at least two Florida counties, the new voting law means losing millions in private grant money bankrolled mostly by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and closing the spigot for more private dollars to fund election administration.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, signed the bill Thursday that includes provisions such as adding voter ID requirements to absentee voting and limiting ballot harvesting. The law also outright bans private money from being used to pay for local elections.

I have just learned, through leaks in the mainstream media, that after being under investigation from the time I came down the escalator 5 ½ years ago, including the fake Russia Russia Russia Hoax, the 2 year, $48M, No Collusion Mueller Witch Hunt, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, and others, that the Democrat New York Attorney General has “informed” my organization that their “investigation” is no longer just a civil matter but also potentially a “criminal” investigation working with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
There is nothing more corrupt than an investigation that is in desperate search of a crime. But, make no mistake, that is exactly what is happening here.
