Dear Trump America-First” Conservatives,
Unfortunately, the We the People whacks are at it again. The president of the faux “conservative” club of Nocatee sent out an email on Monday full of blatant lies and misplaced insults directed at our well-respected County Administrator Hunter Conrad.
So here is my response to Ms Milano:
First of all, county positions do not require a “nationwide search.” Why on earth would the governor search for a St Johns County Administrator in CA or New Mexico? Secondly, you state that “Conrad had no experience in the five areas as required by law.”
Let me help you here…Hunter Conrad previously served as St Johns County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, having been appointed to office by Governor Rick Scott in October 2015 and, thereafter, elected to the office in 2016. Prior to his position as Clerk, Conrad practiced law in St Augustine with the Canan Law Group, where he focused on criminal and family law litigation and also served as an Assistant State Attorney for the 7th Judicial Circuit of the State of Florida. In addition to several years of practicing law, Conrad worked both in banking and finance.
In 2019, Conrad was sworn in as a member of the United States Air Force Reserve as a Judge Advocate General Corps Officer (JAG) and he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from North Greenville University (NGU). So I think he’s more than qualified.
Additionally, you quote from an “insider” that Conrad received this appointment because of his “connection” to the Hutson family. “Senator Hutson, his family, and various other developers invested significant political and financial support to place Mr. Hunter Conrad into the position of county Administrator.”
This is beyond FALSE! Where did they “invest” their money as Conrad wasn’t running a campaign…there wasn’t a PAC and no money was exchanged. Your “insider” is construing lies…(it’s probably your liberal friend Nicole Crosby who wants to see Republicans fail).
Furthermore, STOP CALLING OUT THE HUTSON DEVELOPMENTS and their supposed influence in the county, as they only have one development left and it’s been on the books for years. You should be focusing on the excellent job Senator Hutson is doing in Tallahassee helping our Governor present and pass conservative legislation!
Please stop pushing your liberal agenda and lying to your conservative members. There’s a reason your club was de-chartered from the Republican Party in St Johns County… Maybe if you stopped allowing liberal activists to speak at your club and started using your influence for the good of conservatives in SJC, we could stop this nonsense and keep good people in office.
Fortunately, our commissioners didn’t listen to your threats and Hunter Conrad remains our county administrator in a 5-0 vote!!!

Please contact the St. John’s County Commissioners and ask them not to approve Hunter Conrad to another term as the County Administrator and instead contact an executive search firm to bring in a pool of candidates who have actual qualifications and credentials to perform the job without connections to Florida developers.
